For my next post, I'd like to talk about the up coming 3D animated movie from Disney, Big Hero 6.

Big Hero 6 is based on a popular Marvel comic with the same name. Now that Disney owns Marvel,  makes sense to adapt one of its stories into a full animated movie. It's directed by Chris Williams, Bolt and Don Hall, The princess and the Frog.

Here are some of the posters.

Some concept art & the trailer.

Personally, I think this movie will be amazing. What do you think?

Big Hero 6 opens in theaters on November 7, 2014.  HERO 6 Official Website.

Very little is know about District 9 and Elysium director Neill Blomkamp's new movie, Chappie. But today, some pictures just hit the web. Take a look.

These pictures where taken in Canada, where most of the animation and post-production is taking place. It looks that he is taking once again the concept of one of his short films once again to make a full feature movie. I refer to the short film, Tetra Vall.

Watch the short film here.

Chappie was written by Neill Blomkamp and his wife, Terri Tatchell. The haven't worked together on a film since District 9.  Chappie opens on theaters March 27, 2015.

Hello, My name is Octavio, and welcome to The Animation Buzz. On this blog, I will talk about the latest news about anything related to animation in the movie industry. Whether be full animated movies or animation in live action movies.

I decided to create this blog because I've  always been fascinated about the world of animation since the first time I saw  the first 3D animated movie Toy story on the big screen when I was little kid. Now that I'm older, I do some 3D modeling and animation. In fact, I'm taking my degree in visual communications at Lone Star College and it's awesome. If you interested in studying  animation and live in Houston, you should check  the degree in Visual Communications. Here is the link: Lone Star College CyFair Website.

If you don't' how animation about animation works, no problem. Here is a video that explains the 12 basic principles of animation. Enjoy and subscribe
